VISION

Seamless Public Transportation

We believe an efficient public transportation system is the solution to many existential problems facing humanity, including hyper-urbanization, road deaths, traffic congestion, and climate change.

Our Journey So Far

1976

THE EUREKA MOMENT

Growing up in Turkey, Edip Yuksel invents the modular and pit-less accelerating walkway during his freshman year at METU University while studying mechanical engineering.

However, after a series of unfortunate events and the assassination of his younger brother, he dropped out of university to become an outspoken critic of the Turkish authoritarian government.

His best-selling books led to his imprisonment for many years. When freed, Edip immigrated to the US, graduated from law school, married his life partner, and had two sons.

2020

FOUNDED IN SILICON VALLEY

Edip's two sons, John Yuksel and Matine Yuksel, leave their lucrative careers in law and tech to bring their father's invention to life.

2021

FIRST PROTOTYPE BUILT IN IOWA

The Yuksel brothers move to Iowa to build their alpha and beta prototypes at their engineer's workshop. The result was a world record setting high-speed modular accelerating walkway system that eventually gets the interest of venture firms in California.

2022

BELTWAYS RELOCATES TO GREATER CINCINNATI/NKY

The Yuksel brothers relocate to region, in partnership with a local engineering firm to commercialize Beltways for their first customer.

2023

THE START OF A ONE YEAR COMMERCIALIZATION SPRINT

The Beltways closes its 2nd venture round, grows its engineering team to more than 10 people, and moves into a 20,000sqft facility near their first customer, CVG Airport.

& BEYOND

HISTORIC PILOT DEMONSTRATION

Beltways plans to manufacture and deploy its novel transit technology at CVG Airport in 2024.
